Trainee, Commercial Product Development & Lifecycle Management – Orion
About your role
We are seeking a fixed-term employee for hourly work in auxiliary pharmaceutical tasks in Espoo. We are looking for person who can start as soon as possible. The position will continue as full-time summer work starting from June until 31 August 2026.
Your tasks will include, among other things, translating batch records, checking the transfer of report results, collecting and tabulating data, assisting with laboratory studies related to the lifecycle management and industrialization of pharmaceutical products, as well as archiving. You will work with both products in the development phase and products with marketing authorization. You will actively collaborate with specialists within our own unit. In this position, you will mainly work at our Espoo office. The work is performed on weekdays during regular office hours. The hourly employment contract is valid until May 2026, after which the role becomes a full-time summer position until August 2026.

Our expectations
We are looking for a student in the early stages of their studies in a suitable field (e.g. pharmacy, biomedical sciences, or engineering). You are proactive, solution-oriented, and approach even challenging tasks with a positive attitude. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and you have good interpersonal and networking skills. You are proficient in using the most common IT tools. You are ready to challenge yourself with diverse tasks and are eager to develop yourself and your expertise. You are able to manage your responsibilities even when you have several tasks simultaneously or when priorities suddenly change. You communicate fluently in both Finnish and English.

Unit description
Orion’s Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
The Commercial Product Development & Lifecycle Management (CPD&LCM) organization is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and further developing the products in Orion’s portfolio. We also handle technology transfers and the industrialization of Orion’s original products (final stage product development). The open position is in the inhalation team, which currently consists of 8 people in Espoo.
